The Abu Dhabi-based global technology group G42 has announced the signing of memorandums of understanding (MoUs) both at home and abroad taking its AI expertise to both the UAE and Greece.
Most recently Emirates Petroleum Company (Emarat), a leading integrated energy company in the UAE, has signed an MoU with G42 to explore opportunities in artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity and advanced digital technologies in supporting the next phase of Emarat’s transformation.
The agreement covers potential areas of collaboration including AI applications for the energy sector, digital security and sovereignty, next-generation service station concepts and related solutions. The collaboration aims to further support innovation across the energy value chain through advanced digital capabilities, secure infrastructure and enhanced customer experiences, in line with Emarat’s vision for a smarter, data-driven, and future-ready enterprise.
G42 has also signed MoUs agreements with Greek government and private-sector partners covering AI infrastructure, government services, life sciences and smart cities.
Agreements with Greek infrastructure investor Copelouzos Group, UAE data centre provider Khazna Data Centres and Core42, a G42 company that provides sovereign cloud, AI infrastructure, and services, will see the partners explore the development of an AI factory in Greece, combining advanced data centre infrastructure with AI cloud and compute capabilities.
Khazna is expected to lead the development of the physical infrastructure, while Core42 will provide cloud and AI compute capabilities to support organisations across sectors including banking, telecommunications, shipping and government.
Meanwhile G42’s AI and big data analytics company Presight will collaborate with Greece’s Ministry of Digital Governance to explore the deployment of AI-powered urban analytics and real-time intelligence capabilities to enhance public safety across urban mobility and municipal operations. The collaboration will initially focus on demonstrating the potential of Agentic AI to transform municipal waste management and water-network monitoring through intelligent analytics, leveraging synthetic and open data.
In addition, G42’s AI-native sovereign intelligence company Inception42 will work with Greece’s Ministry of Digital Governance & Artificial Intelligence to explore the application of Agentic AI across government and education.
Areas of focus will include deploying AI-powered tools to support cabinet meetings and monitor progress against government priorities, training government officials to work with AI agents, and developing AI tutors and learning platforms to enhance educational outcomes.
Finally, G42’s tech-enabled healthcare company M42 has signed an MoU with Greece's first biotechnology park, Athens LifeTech Park (ALTP), which opened this year, for a broad-based partnership spanning life sciences research, genomics sequencing infrastructure, population genomics, clinical development and connecting institutional biobanks.
