Aolani and Nvidia to expand AI factory deployments across SEA

Singapore-based AI cloud firm Aolani said on Monday it has signed a deal with Nvidia to collaborate on expanding 'AI factory' infrastructure across Southeast Asia, starting with Malaysia and the Philippines.

Aolani – which has been an Nvidia cloud partner since 2023 – said it expects to deploy 22,000 Nvidia Blackwell Ultra GPUs across two AI factories in Malaysia and the Philippines in early 2027.

Aolani said that target would bring its total deployment to over 48,000 GPUs, and expand its total AI factory capacity to more than 100MW.

Aolani plans to deliver Nvidia-powered cloud services to AI-native companies, enterprises, startups, developers and institutions across Southeast Asia. The company will utilise a revenue-sharing and credit-support model to align its infrastructure deployment with customer demand, which will give it a “capital-efficient path” to scale its AI factories across the SEA region.

Aolani’s motivation for the move is rooted in the fact that Southeast Asia is fast emerging as one of the most robust AI markets in the world, with more than US$50 billion invested by global hyperscalers in AI-ready data centres and cloud infrastructure in the region, according to figures from the Singapore Economic Development Board.

While Malaysia has established itself as one of Asia’s hottest AI factory hubs, particularly in Johor, Aolani sees the Philippines as a high-potential emerging market for AI infrastructure.

Aolani CEO Nicholas Chia said the company’s deployment in the Philippines is expected to be among the first large-scale AI infrastructure platforms in the country, broadening access to advanced AI compute and supporting the buildout of essential AI infrastructure in Asia.

“Southeast Asia is rapidly emerging as a key global node for the next wave of global AI buildout, and we are well-positioned to lead this,” he said in a statement.
