Comba and SCOMM partner to implement in-building solutions across Morocco

Comba Telecom, a provider of wireless communication solutions, and SICOTEL Communications (SCOMM), a Moroccan telecom and ICT solutions integrator, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) linked with enabling indoor coverage.

Signed during tech and startup show GITEX Africa 2026, which takes place this week in Marrakech, the strategic partnership aims to jointly explore, develop and implement advanced in-building solutions (IBS) across Morocco, addressing the growing demand for seamless indoor wireless coverage in commercial, industrial and public venues.

The collaboration takes place as Morocco focuses on nationwide 5G rollout. With the government targeting over 25% 5G coverage by the end of 2026, this partnership will play a key role in delivering the infrastructure needed to support this ambitious initiative.

Comba brings to the partnership its ComFlex MAX solution – a highly flexible and scalable solution featuring advanced capabilities to ensure high-quality indoor network coverage and performance for all building types – and its expertise in passive and active distributed antenna systems (DAS).

SCOMM, which serves all Moroccan service providers and major enterprises, contributes its extensive local market knowledge, deployment capabilities and customer relationships.

Under the terms of the MoU, both parties will collaborate on: identifying and pursuing new in-building solutions project opportunities across Morocco; deploying Comba’s passive and active DAS solutions including ComFlex MAX; and pursuing joint marketing initiatives to promote integrated indoor wireless solutions to Moroccan operators and enterprises.

The ComFlex MAX solution, deployed in over 80 countries and regions, features an IT-like architecture with high-integration remote units that enhance performance while significantly reducing power consumption, aligning with global sustainability goals and Morocco’s green infrastructure initiatives.

The partnership will particularly target venues requiring high-density connectivity, including shopping malls, office buildings, hotels, airports and stadiums.
